Bienvenido a Paraíso! (Welcome to Paradise!). I am the owner of Colombian Sweethearts and the Latin Dating and Marriage Connection, Inc. and I'd like to briefly tell you why I decided I would find the latin woman of my dreams in Medellín.

I first came to Medellín in January of 2002 while I was living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the midst of brazilian women tanning on the beach, samba and two blocks away from Jo Bim's "Garota de Ipanema."  As a military fighter pilot and currently a commercial pilot, I had also lived in Asia for 3 years, in Europe for 5 years, and in Moscow for one year. I had a lot of experience with different cultures and women and was always impressed by the femininity and affection of latin women. I was traveling to Medellín just from curiosity to see and learn about the infamous city of Pablo Escobar. Upon arriving at the airport in Rio Negro, I was immediately overcome by the beautiful drive down the mountains into the city, by the politeness and friendliness of everyone I met, and most importantly, by the incredible number of latin women everywhere!! All my perceived ideas of drug wars, crime and dangerous women were immediately dispelled!  The only dangerous thing I saw was an unbelievable amount of beautiful women!!!

Having later traveled to Bogotá, Cali, Baranquilla, and Cartegena, I saw that all of these cities had something special about them, but all had long been over run by tourists and marriage agencies.  And even though I met some very nice colombian women in these other cities, very few of them had the combination of beauty, elegance, diversity and friendliness of the latin women in Medellín or "paisas."  I returned to Medellín to make it my home and open this agency in January of 2003.

I have known Steve and Colombian Sweethearts since August, 2007. I have met some wonderful ladies through this agency and have met some great friends. This agency has more than done their part in introducing me to some really quality women.

I love Medellin and there beautiful women. The climate in Medellin Colombia was the best! 72 degrees all the time! The staff at Colombian Sweethearts is very polite & effective & work extremely hard to please all of their guests. The two maids that are living in the agency house are fantastic. They both cook & keep this house extremely neat & clean. The bilingual staff make appointments & stay on top of the scheduled meetings for there clients. There is a large supermarket just 5 minutes away, walking distance from this agency! The phone system works great to call back to the United States. It’s free that is great! I arrived in Medellin on Sept-13-07 and while staying at Colombian Sweethearts B & B I met three ladies within two days, all very nice! The fourth lady I met was Diana, who is now my fiancée. We both fell in love and want to marry. I admit this was rather quick, but it can happen to anyone. I also credit Colombian Sweethearts, Steve and his entire staff. They are highly recommended by me personally!!!

I just wanted to update you on my situation. I visited Medellin in August during the Feria De Flores and used your introductory service. Through CS I met Sandra Giraldo Cortes and got to know her well. I returned last month with my parents in order for them to have the chance to meet Sandra and her family. During this visit me and Sandra got engaged and I have presented a petition for her K1 fiancee visa. Since CS last heard from me I have received notification #1 from the US Immigration Service. With current processing times I hope to have Sandra in Louisiana around May of this new year. I traveled to Medellin for 8 days over Thanksgiving holiday to visit Sandra and we had a great time. COLOMBIAN SWEETHEARTS: The Best!! I actually came to Medellín to meet another woman that I had met through another agency. Not being satisfied with this selection, I discovered COLOMBIAN SWEETHEARTS. I now know that COLOMBIAN SWEETHEARTS is the agency that I should have been dealing with all along. Dear Colombian Sweethearts:  I just wanted to thank you for your service in helping find my wonderful girlfriend and soon to be future wife, I would also like to address this letter to other American men who are looking for that special someone.

   

I will share my experience with Colombia, the city of Medellín and Colombian Sweethearts. First Colombia gets a lot of bad press in the world that misrepresents what it is really like here in Colombia. Living in Chicago, I am aware that we have over 500 murders a year, over one every day, yet I feel safe there. It is similar in Colombia. In the city in good areas I feel very secure and safe. The shopping centers have a great deal of security. The Colombian culture is very family oriented with good values.

Don't be afraid to come to Colombia.

Next I would like to answer the question "Why Medellín?"  Medellín is located in the mountains providing a climate that reminds me of the Bay Area of Northern California: green, cool and not too hot. The city is known as "the city of eternal spring". Medellín is a clean, modern city with beautiful shopping centers, nice hotels and restaurants. The water is so pure that no bottled water is necessary unlike some U.S. cities. The women of Medellín are very elegant, thin and lovely. They are very family oriented, feminine, and polite. 

 

 Colombian Sweethearts has provided me with almost 800 lovely women to choose from. The personal attention is terrific. I feel like they are family to me. The appointments were conducted in their homelike environment in the living room or beside the pool. Translation services provided made the initial interviews go smoothly. All the women I met were very nice and prettier than their photos. My friend came here and 10 out of the 11 women he met here were great. You would never have that happen in the U.S.

My girlfriend is 20 years my junior but that is not at all a problem here in Colombia. The women prefer an older man. At over 50 years old my options in the U.S. are extremely limited but here I feel like a celebrity! As a successful businessman in the U.S., I have everything I need but was lacking that special someone to share my life with and Colombian Sweethearts provided me with a beautiful, affectionate young woman to spend my life with. You guys more than came through on your promises.  For those guys on the fence about using an agency I would strongly suggest that you get on a plane and head down to Medellín.

I am an average 44 year old guy, the women that I met there were not only beautiful, warm and friendly, but more interested in finding out who you are and what your character is like rather than how much money you have.

WHERE TO BEGIN?

First, let me say that Medellin is a wonderful and beautiful city. I've traveled all over the United States and some parts of the world being prior service. Never in my life have I ever seen so many beautiful women in one place. The women of Medellin are beautiful and humble. Not like the women in the United States. The women are searching for a man with a kind heart, not how much money you make, want kind of car you drive or how big your house is. The beautiful women of Medellin don't look for men in the physical sense; they look for the true beauty of your heart.

Second, the staff at Colombian Sweethearts was fantastic! Steve's staff personally makes sure you are comfortable and relaxed. The staff sets up your appointments with the ladies and assists you in anyway they can. I felt like it was my home away from home. Steve's staff was very professional and provided exceptional service. Nothing compares here in the United States. The level of personal attention the staff provides goes
unmeasured. Luz, Dolly, Patricia, Alejandra in addition to the rest of the staff were fantastic.

If you’re considering traveling to Medellin, I suggest you brush up on your Spanish so you’re able to communicate with the ladies. I started learning Spanish about 3 months ago and didn't need a translator. The women are patient and understanding so don't be intimated by the language. I met several beautiful women and each one was very interested in me. I'm an average looking African American man in his early 40's and I didn't have any problems communicating with the women.

To Anyone Interested in Traveling to Medellin: I have
traveled all over the world and Medellín is a very safe place.

  

I have been there a total of 6 times equaling about 72 days. I have friends from the U.S.A. who live there and a matter of fact me and 3 other friends will be retiring there within the next 3 years.

The climate is just like Southern California but the cost of living is about 10%. You can buy a beautiful condo in the best part of the city for less than $20,000. The city is very beautiful; the restaurants are excellent and very reasonably priced. Medellín is a buyers market and is the only city in Colombia where that is true. The women are very pretty and sweet and the best part is they are unspoiled.  I am seeing about four beautiful women in their early 20's and I am 52 and average looking.

I love MEDELLIN! It reminds me of San Francisco before the gold rush. The agency is excellent and the service is outstanding. The agency will tend to all your needs.

The prices are very reasonable and Dolly the housekeeper is an outstanding cook. They have a beautiful pool where you can invite woman to go swimming. The women usually wear string bikinis, which is a beautiful sight. They have over 900 women in the agency and many are looking for a serious relationship.

Dear Colombian Sweethearts Family,

Let me begin by saying that I greatly enjoyed my short stay in Medellin at the mansion. I should have stayed longer and now I know that I will plan on staying longer the next time I return. I should have stayed at least a month. I miss you all! When I return, I will make it a point to be there with you all. You all treated me like family. I always felt safe and secure. You always looked out for my welfare. It felt good knowing that there were people in Medellin worrying about me. And, I’m sorry Maria Andrea, I know I made you, Melissa, and Janet worry about me. I should have been more considerate. Please forgive me. I acted like a little kid in a candy store. I should have told you that I was an experienced traveler and that I am very daring about going out and getting to know people.

As for my experience there in Medellin, I want to tell you that I felt safer in Medellin than in any other place in the world. Since I could speak Spanish, I enjoyed myself even more. I fell in love with Medellin, the people of Medellin, and Colombia too. I went to Medellin with one purpose in mind: to find my “pareja”, the special someone to share my life with. The list I made of the beautiful ladies I wanted to meet was a short list of five which I had cut down from a list of about twenty ladies. Helen Johana was the lady that caught my attention and kept my attention.

By this time, I truly had fallen in love with Colombia and her people. I believe I began falling in love with Helen too. Since my return to Del Rio, Texas, I am still communicating with Helen. We share common hopes and dreams and we want to continue developing our relationship. I feel already that it will lead to marriage. And, I know that Helen feels the same way. But, if this relationship fails to develop, then, I can tell you honestly that I feel confident that you all at Colombian Sweethearts can help me start my search again, for my “pareja”. My short time spent there with you is one of my most memorable times in my life. I can’t wait to go back to Medellin. I feel that I will eventually return to buy a house there.

As for a recommendation for anyone who is seriously thinking about going to Medellin to find their special someone, I can only say: “Do it! Go to Medellin! Let the Colombian Sweethearts Family take care of you and help you search for that special someone! You will not be disappointed! The ladies are beautiful, the people are beautiful, Medellin is beautiful, and Colombia is beautiful! The people of Colombia have a very loving heart!”

I wanted to write you a letter to thank you for the incredible trip I had to Medellin. Finding your agency has been a life-changing experience for me.  Congratulations on putting together a team of employees that are extremely friendly, accommodating, understanding, and effective.  
 
I did a lot of research on the internet before choosing Colombian Sweethearts.  It can be a confusing world of information for someone new to this approach at finding love.  Especially with the forum talk on the internet that is available and the plethora of websites and agencies that say exactly what a man looking for love wants to hear.  As a gift to myself for my 35th birthday, I decided to make the leap of faith.   I thoroughly read every website recommended by “2 Gringos” and your site seemed to have the credibility and services I was interested in.  I took a calculated risk and pursued Colombian Sweethearts.  From my initial conversation with you I felt comfortable that I had made the right decision. I appreciate your patience in answering all of the concerns of an apprehensive prospect.   The follow-up of your staff prior to my trip, specifically Maria Andrea was excellent.
 
Abellardo greeted me at the airport and has been a great interpreter / driver for me.  He has a great knowledge of the city and is extremely helpful with suggestions for where to eat, shop, people-watch, etc.  The house is very nice.  I definitely feel safe here which, for anyone new to , is an underlying concern.

And although the entire staff has impressed me, one person stands out that I have to mention, Melissa. Her interpretation of my comments to the women and her replication of my inflections was apparent to me. She also was able to help me discern what the girls were feeling towards me through their replies and offline comments.  Additionally, Melissa was wonderful at scheduling my appointments, working with me to find new prospects, and making the most of my time here.

My priority now is to learn Spanish quickly and return to Medellin as many times as necessary to find the love of my life. Colombian Sweethearts is my launching pad for this quest and I plan on staying at your house many more times.
